In October 2002, the European Union developed Directive 72/245/EEC and later amended its requirements (95/54/EC). This directive was developed for all electronic vehicles and electronic products for access and export to the European Union market.
It can be said that for almost all the items used in the car, the quality requirements are defined based on the ECE series standards in the European Union and are used for testing and issuing quality conformity certificates. The result of this evaluation and compliance is known as the EMark mark, which is issued in a standard format along with the issuing country code and with a unique serial number. This standard mark was introduced by the European Economic Commission.Marked products have unrestricted access in the EU and can be offered to consumers without additional testing, assessment or other conformity labels. In addition, the Emark mark is also valid in other countries outside of Europe, as it fulfills the EU compliance requirements.
In EU countries, it is necessary to obtain Emark certification in order to introduce motor vehicle systems, parts, components and separate technical parts. The Emark certificate proves that the manufacturers of these products meet the basic requirements in terms of traffic safety and environmental protection.
The E-Mark certificate shows that the part in question has obtained the necessary standards for production. In fact, all manufactured goods, which are sold in the European Union (EU), must comply with the necessary health and safety regulations before they can legally enter the EU market. In this regard, there is a wide range of European Union regulations to ensure the safety and efficiency of products and consumables for the use of European citizens. These products are evaluated for suitability with legal requirements for the unique hazards and environmental concerns associated with their use. After approval, these products receive the E-Mark certificate.
All items sold in Europe must carry the E-Mark. E-Mark certificate is issued by a valid authority. However, since each country has its own certification authority, EU ECE approval can be quite complicated. Many businesses use an independent, third-party technical service team to test the relevant auto parts to ensure that the parts meet the iMark standard.
The difference between EEC and ECE
The European Commission developed the first set of vehicle regulations for all EU member states. These standards are known as EEC and EC standards. After that, the Economic Commission of the European Union in the United Nations published the second set of vehicle standard regulations with the aim of being implemented at the global level. Products approved according to UNECE regulations are known as ECE standards.
Type approval of imitation vehicles in Europe
Over the past few years, the European Commission has simplified vehicle approvals by joining UNECE regulations. Obtaining ECE approval and ESA approval of cars in all Europe is required to be present in the European car market. Also, the value of this certification can extend beyond Europe, as many countries are harmonizing their compliance requirements with those of the European Union, and many countries accept E-Mark reports as appropriate proof of compliance. The full scope of European motor vehicle regulation is set out in the European Commission Directive, EC/46/2007.

Benefits of E.Mark certification
The main benefit of E-Mark certification is that your car and car parts meet EU standards, so they can be legally sold on the EU market. For motorcycles and their parts, noise and emissions must comply with the European Commission (EEC Directives) and the European Economic Commission (ECE Regulations). The E-Mark conformity certificate is awarded to ensure adequate vehicle safety and full compliance with all methods of environmental protection, highway structure and transport safety. In addition, when using these products, human health and the natural environment should not be harmed.
